Smorstad's Scoop- April 22nd

**WEEKLY SCOOP!**

What a great week! We had a fabulous week with spring like weather and a special field trip. I want to say a BIG thank you to the Workman family for making this Papa John’s field trip possible. The kids had a blast! Thank you to the parents who sent in food/drinks to make our meal complete. We all enjoyed quite the feast that was provided. This was definitely a great 2^nd grade memory for our class. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Classroom News

Alleyse was a great star student!

· We have started 3 digit addition and subtraction. We are starting with the basics (no carrying or barrowing) and focusing on starting in the ones place, then tens, and last hundreds. Practice problems at home!

· Continue to practice math facts to continue moving forward on the timed tests. Google Sheppard’s Software for some great math games to play!
